Shorty

Sire

"Shorty"

Sherrif des Bois de la Mariniere

Shorty has it all; looks, hunting instincts and personality.  A prominent French breeder recently proclaimed Shorty as the "best looking Bourbonnais in the world today".  That statement sure stirred up the French breeders, but what cannot be disputed is Shorty's NAVHDA test scores.  Shorty scored a Prize I, 112/112 points  in his Natural Ability Test, then passed his Utility Test with a Prize I, 204/204 point score.  The first and only Bourbonnais male to achieve this level of distinction.  Shorty was a participant in the 2006 Invitational Championships. His good looks and impressive test scores are exceeded only by his outgoing personality and friendliness.  Shorty is just fun to own.

Gertie

Dam

"Gertie"

Elk Run Pahsimeroi Sal

Gertie is a very sweet, gentle dog that loves to hunt.   Gertie did a nice job on wild birds during her first hunting season and is now a full fledge bird dog.  Gertie passed her Natural Ability Test with a Prize II, 103 points.  Gertie’s mother is the only Bourbonnais Versatile Champion in the history of the breed.  Gertie inherited her mother’s sweet disposition but acquired even more hunting instincts and desire from her father Gus.  Gus is the most naturally talented male Bourbonnais at Elk Run Kennels, with a stylish point and  intense bird desire.  Gus is a powerful, muscular dog with a latent desire to be a lapdog.
