Shorty

Sire

"Shorty"

Sherrif des Bois de la Mariniere

Shorty has it all; looks, hunting instincts and personality.  A prominent French breeder recently proclaimed Shorty as the "best looking Bourbonnais in the world today".  That statement sure stirred up the French breeders, but what cannot be disputed is Shorty's NAVHDA test scores.  Shorty scored a Prize I, 112/112 points  in his Natural Ability Test, then passed his Utility Test with a Prize I, 204/204 point score.  The first and only Bourbonnais male to achieve this level of distinction.  Shorty was a participant in the 2006 Invitational Championships. His good looks and impressive test scores are exceeded only by his outgoing personality and friendliness.  Shorty is just fun to own.

Vinnie

Dam

"Vinnie"

Venus du Pontelle de Maicou

Vinnie is bred by France's prominent working Bourbonnais breeder, it shows, Vinnie is all bird dog.  This past summer Vinnie missed qualifying for the 2008 Versatile Championships by just one point.  She passed her Utility test with a Prize II, 198/204 point score.    Vinnie obtained maximum scores of 4’s in all test categories except for “Retrieve of Shot Bird”.  Proof that anything can go wrong in a test, Vinnie decided to show the judges just how high she could throw birds during each retrieve.  Her throws were impressive but the judges were not.  Vinnie has developed into a great gun dog with enthusiasm, drive, and determination with an intense point.
